Dr. Peng Wang

Peng was born in Yilong, Sichuan. He obtained his BS with honors in chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Jun-An Ma at Tianjin University in July 2007, and obtained his PhD in organic chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Yong Tang at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC). Then he moved to the Scripps Research Institute (TSRI), and conducted his postdoc research with Prof. Jin-Quan Yu, focusing on ligand accelerated regioselective carbon-hydrogen (C-H) bond activation and non-directed C-H functionalization. After that, Dr. Wang joined SIOC as a full professor in early 2018. His research focuses on the transition metal catalysis and main group chemistry.
