Congrats to YingXue Liao et al. on their latest publication in Chin. J. Chem. In this work, we utilized a well-defined macrocyclic bispyridyldiimine-supported binuclear cobalt complex. This catalyst enables efficient ammonia borane dehydrogenation and catalyzes a wide range of ammonia borane-mediated transfer hydrogenation reactions under mild conditions, achieving high-yield reduction of diverse substrates including alkenes, indoles, nitriles, and carbonyl compounds.
